The hotel is located on the south eastern slope of the Montseny massif, at the foot of the summits of the Turó de l’Home and Les Agudes. Since the outskirts of Gualba and the hotel are free from the winter fog, they enjoy, unlike the opposite slope, a considerable amount of sunny hours, even in the heart of December, which helps keeping a pleasant temperature in midday hours.

The hotel’s location makes it an ideal base for walkers. It enables starting a great deal of itineraries in the Montseny mountain and its neighbouring valleys. You will be able to contemplate or to go over the Mediterranean woods, the beech or fir groves, or the Natural Park’s rocky and bare summits. In short, it is a privileged environment, halfway between Barcelona and Girona, easily accessible since it is well communicated by road, by air and by train, yet it is totally immersed in the diversity and the riches of the nature of the Montseny.

The Hotel Masferrer also suggests you to combine the visits to the Montseny with the relax, the rest and silence of its library or the old kitchen reconverted into a sitting room and lit by the burning firewood in wintertime, or to stay in its wonderful porch while you finish your book in a relaxing atmosphere.

And in summertime, we would suggest that you relax by the swimming pool or you take a bath with the beautiful outline of the Montseny in the foreground.
